A man died in a trucking accident while assisting his co-worker. At approximately 12:30pm on Friday, Gregory Striker, was helping a co-worker who was trying to park a semi trailer, when he fell beneath the wheels of the very trailer he was guiding.

Apparently, Striker was standing on the road between a “lowboy” trailer and a pivoting dolly that was being towed behind it. Striker may have been distracting by approaching traffic and didn’t see the trailer begin to move, reports indicated.

The truck driver, Kenneth Watrous, told the Police he wasn’t aware Striker was standing in between the trailers when he moved the truck forward.

Striker died a short time after being transported to Oregon Health and Science University.
