A “Red Rider” for Wheels of Justice

Comments Off

The American Association for Justice Winter Convention is just around the corner, and I couldn’t be more excited. I look forward to hearing some of the best trial lawyers in the United States present on topics that really impact our firm and contribute to our success. This year’s convention is in beautiful Miami Beach, Florida. During the convention, I will take a break from our education programs to join the American Diabetes Association Tour de Cure on a 25 mile bicycle route that starts in South Beach and takes us past Coral Gables.

As a “Red Rider” , I will be wearing a red jersey that signifies I am part of the 25 million people living with diabetes in the United States. I hope that by participating in this ride, I am able to contribute donations for the good work that the ADA does and raise awareness about this challenging disease. Despite having type 1 diabetes, I feel that I live a rich and healthy life, and am grateful that I will be able to participate in this event.

In 2011, more than 55,000 cyclists participated in Tour de Cure events around the U.S. and raised more than $18 million to support the ADA’s mission.

Thank you to the Stratton Faxon Trial Lawyers in Connecticut for sponsoring the Miami Tour de Cure ride for AAJ participants, and organizing our team “ Stratton Faxon’s Wheels of Justice”. As of January 25th, our team is #2 in overall fundraising – awesome teamwork for a group of us spread all over the U.S.! I look forward to meeting all of my fellow AAJ riders on February 10th.

Thank you also to D’Amore Law Group for providing generous support to me and my husband, as well as to Tom D'Amore & Lisa D’Amore for joining the ride.
